Ripco Systems Job Opportunities
The millwright must deal with trade installation methods and equipment, understand construction methods, and have the ability to diagnose and repair problems in the field, whether equipment or installation related.
Day Shift: 8 to 10 hour days. Off Season: Monday – Friday, 6am to 4pm. Busy Season (July through October): Monday – Friday, 6am to ? and Saturdays (end time is dependent on the work load). Overtime pay is applied. The ability to travel out of town to jobs is required.
- Understand that THE CUSTOMER IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY , and support that priority.
- Work at agricultural and commercial sites; install trade materials and equipment in a professional manner.
- Weld and fabricate materials on site and in the shop.
- Construct bucket elevators.
- Install auger equipment.
- Work with concrete and set forms.
- Excavate sites.
- Operate machinery, including cranes, skid loaders, forklifts and trucks.
- Diagnose situations and/or problems in as little time as possible.
- Maintain vehicles and equipment in good working order.
- Load and unload inventory onto trailers and in vehicles.
- Communicate with field supervisor to insure that job is performed in the subscribed number of hours, or less.
- Inform field supervisor when more time may be necessary, and why. Receive orders from field supervisor on what to do before proceeding.
- Minimize field errors.
- Complete installations and service calls so that callbacks are minimized.
- Perform other duties/responsibilities that may be assigned by the field supervisor from time to time.
A high school diploma, or equivalent. Work in an applicable apprentice program is desirable. One (1) to (3) years experience as a millwright is preferred. Knowledge of construction methods is desirable. The ability to effectively communicate in English is also required. A valid driver’s license is required, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) would be a plus.
